Good morning,

I posted in the AI For Business Facebook community how I recently emailed robotics company, Figure™…

To see if they would be willing to lend us one of their 02 humanoid robots…

So we could showcase 02 in our Orlando event…

And get to to perform some tasks…

That used to require human employees.

And it got some people asking:

“What Is The Difference Between Figure’s 02 and Elon’s Optimus“?

And I get it why.

Since not too long ago, Elon just showed off his Optimus robot doing all kinds of cool stuff like folding a shirt and walking around.

When you look at pictures of both robots, they do look pretty similar – both are about human-sized, both walk on two legs, and both have arms that can grab things.

So why not just get an Optimus instead?

Well, Figure's 02 is packed with some pretty amazing tech that puts it ahead right now.

It can actually have real conversations with you thanks to its partnership with OpenAI (the ChatGPT folks), and it can see and understand what's happening around it much better.

Its hands are better at picking up different objects, and all its wires are tucked inside its body so they don't get damaged.

Optimus is cool too, but it's lagging behind Figure 02’s voice

And object recognition.

Tesla is aiming to make Optimus cost around $25,000 someday, which would be amazing if they can pull it off!

Figure hasn't said exactly what 02 costs yet, but it's probably more expensive right now since it's already working in real factories like BMW's plant.

Why Figure’s 02 Is Currently More Advanced

The bottom line is that Figure 02 is currently the winner in this robot race. Its software is smarter and can handle more complex situations.

Its sensors can spot and recognize objects better…

And figure out what's going on.

Plus, its whole design is just more ready for real work in the real world.

Sure, Elon and Optimus will likely catch up.

But right now, if I had to pick one for our Orlando event, Figure 02 would definitely be my choice!
